Kaspersky and NCSA Collaborate to Enhance Thailand's Cybersecurity Amidst Surging Threats
Kaspersky, a global cybersecurity and digital privacy company, and Thailand's National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate and enhance Thailand's cybersecurity capabilities.
With Thailand's digital economic growth, cyber risks have increased, making public-private partnerships essential.
The MoU focuses on capacity building, knowledge-sharing, expert support, technical exchanges, and joint initiatives to safeguard Thailand's cyberspace.
Kaspersky's CEO, Eugene Kaspersky, and Director of Government Affairs and Public Policy for Asia-Pacific, Japan, Middle East, Türkiye, and Africa, Genie Gan, commented on a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Kaspersky and the National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) of Thailand.
They expressed excitement about deepening their collaboration to strengthen cyber defenses in Thailand, which has rapidly embraced digitalization but faces increasing cyber threats.
The MoU aims to expand capacity-building efforts and facilitate more frequent exchanges between the two parties to enhance NCSA's ability to deal with cyber threats.
In 2023, Thailand experienced a significant increase of 114.25% in cyber threats compared to the previous year.
The three major risks identified were website hacking, defacement, and the creation of false websites.
